Time to spotlight one of my dietary staples, and something you should definitely check out if you haven't already, nutritional yeast! For those of you unfamiliar it is essentially a vegan & gluten-free condiment used widely as a cheese-replacement but can also be used in many other ways. It has a delicious nutty/ parmesan cheese-esque flavor. It is sugar-free and relatively high in protein! A typical 2 tbs serving (I usually only end up using about 1tbs or so) will only set you back 60 calories but will also net you 9g of protein!
A few of my preferred ways of using nutritional yeast are to sprinkle some on top of my salads, whip some into my eggs (yes I'm now eating eggs) and also on top of freshly popped popcorn (so delicious!!). I usually buy a canister on Amazon but if you are lucky enough to live near a good grocery store or a health food store, it can sometimes be found in the bulk food section.
