Robyn + Kelis + Me = HOTNESS

Guess who got tix to see Robyn & Kelis at the Trocadero Theatre on August 3rd??? I DID!!!! I am so excited!  I have loved Robyn ever since Show Me Love, and I love her even more these days!  I surprisingly am also loving everything I've heard off Kelis' newest album and I know she puts on a great show so I can't wait to see them both!!!  I got 3 tickets for just under $100 (including all the ridiculous Ticketmaster fees) and am taking my friend Katrina for her birthday and perhaps a date, what can I say I'm an optimist.  With my luck I'll end up scalping it giving it away the night of the show.  I'm not a big concert person but I'm hoping to really have a blast at this one! I can't wait to get my outfit together for this, I'm thinking it is going to be mostly hipsters so I'll have to keep that in mind.  And if you haven't seen Robyn's new video (in which Robyn is wearing my most fave Alexander Wang cutout dress) you must check it out!

 

MP3 Mania Monday!

Music Mania

So I thought I would let you all know what songs are going hard on my MP3 player right now! I know that whenever I'm feeling a lull in my workout routine adding some new music definitely ups the endurance.

I'm a die hard Xtina fan, and her new song while not as amazing as I had hoped is definitely awesome enough to merit a spot on my MP3 player.  Definitely digging the techno aspects of this song and the beat has gotten me thru atleast a few miles!

Passion Pit is one of my newest discoveries and I am totally obsessed!  There music is extremely fun and totally danceable.  The beats and melodies are out of this world and this track is just one of my faves from their new album, definitely a summer song!

As usual Robyn has been hitting it out of the park with all of her recently leaked tracks.  Fembot is a really fun and futuristic tune that will most definitely keep you pushing just an extra bit harder on the treadmill.  I can barely wait until June when her newest album is going to be released, one of THREE this year!!!

New Robyn for 2010

Ok so this isn't exactly a diet/fitness related post, but if you are anything like me music goes hand in hand with working out.  I can't tell you how many miles I have logged on the treadmill while listening to Robyn, her last album is FILLED with really amazing songs that definitely help me push thru those last few sometimes excruciating miles on the treadmill.  It has been 5 years since her last album dropped so needless to say I have been eagerly awaiting some new music from this Swedish superstar, and based on these sample clips of her new material it is sure to be another hot release filled with many iPod staples!  What are some of your favorite songs/artists to workout to?
