Guess Who I am Meeting?!

My cooking inspiration, Ina Garten, is returning to King of Prussia on October 26th and I've already scheduled the day off so I can visit!!!!! I am so excited!!!  If you're oblivious you dont' know Ina is an amazing cook and has her own show, Barefoot Contessa, on The Food Network.  Her food is extremely delicious and extremely simple.  Everything she makes uses really expensive quality ingredients and her chocolate cake, is to DIE FOR.

I've always had a fantasy that I befriend Ina and end up on one of her shows, I already have the entire storyline for the episode planned.  I am her pescatarian friend stopping by and she prepares a three course meal for me, that we eat out in her fabulous garden!  Perhaps this book signing will be just the catalyst I need to become one of her gays!! Wish me luck, picture will of course be taken!

 

Bad Blogger

Ok, so I am soooooo sorry that I have been a bad blogger and not updating! My bad!  I have been super busy setting up my new place, which is slowly coming along! BTW I am totally obsessed with wall decals, I think I'm going to do a whole post on how awesome they are and how much I love them, especially for apartment living!  I've also been going on a bunch of dates and enjoying my new skinny single life, so that has been fun as well!  I'm holding steady right around 140 lbs and some have said that I'm looking "too skinny" so I think I'm officially done with actively losing weight and am really focusing on just maintaining what I have accomplished!

Maintenance of course means one thing... I get to eat more!  Instead of having a calorie deficit from exercise I get to eat back the calories I burn at the gym, woo hoo! This of course means even more peanut butter and Clif bars (sad but true!).  I know I've mentioned before but I am a serious PB addict, I have a two jar a week habit, is there a PB Addicts Anonymous support group?  Its getting pretty out of control!  I'm also working out at a new gym by my place, and although I miss the comfort and familiarity of my old gym, the new gym is breathing some new life into my workout.  However I hate how the treadmills face the street and not the gym interior, one of my favorite things to do is people watch so unfortunately I can't observe my fellow gym-goers as I run.  Speaking of which I'm about to head to the gym, looking forward to a low-key weekend! Stay cool peeps!

NYC Roundup

I'm baaack!  I had so much fun in NYC on Friday and Saturday!  I'm really proud of myself for actually managing to get there (thank you Amtrak) and also for navigating my way around the city!  I'm a bit directionally challenged so this is a huge accomplishment for me!  I had all day Friday to entertain myself, and what is more entertaining then doing a ton of little shopping?  I got some really cute things at Uniqlo, so cheap too, the cutest pair of jeans at Zara and I also picked up a few things at Topman, all in all I had a very successful day of shopping!  I saw a few celebs walking around and was literally standing right next to Karlie Kloss at a bobo sunglasses stand, I was freaking out!!  I wore these really cute sandals on Friday while walking around, that a sales associate at Bloomingdales practically stole off my feet, but they gave me the WORST blisters on the back of my heels, OUCH!  I did manage to run today so hopefully they don't impact my ability to exercise... but I guess fashion is pain.

Friday night Lindsay and I got a late, late, dinner and drinks courtesy of one of Lindsay's friends.  Who doesn't like free food and drinks?!  The restaurant was so nice to bring me a plate of gnocchi in red sauce instead of the sea bass they were serving everybody else, so I got my grub and my drink on.  Afterwards we all headed to Greenhouse, which was packed and Ne-Yo happened to be there as well, but we were kind of over it so then we headed to Amalia.  In one of my not so finer moments I managed to leave my Blackberry in the backseat of the taxi that took us back to my friend Dan's house.  Of course I was freaking out but thankfully a very nice young woman found it and ended up calling Lindsay's phone the next morning and met us to return it to me, THANK YOU!!!!  Saturday we pretty much just relaxed at Dan's and then headed to Grand Central Station to say our goodbyes.  All in all it was a super fun trip and I can't wait to go back!  I wish I had taken more pics but I didn't want to look too touristy.
