I just had to share this video I found on Youtube. This is literally my "faux-hawk" routine right down the same product! I just thought it was funny that this hot guy has the exact same routine/issues styling his faux hawk that I do! Too funny!
You all know by now that I worship the ground that fitness expert Jillian Michaels walks on, she has really changed the way I think about diet and exercise! Her book, Master Your Metabolism, was particularly eye-opening to me as to why all those diet and "healthy" frankenfoods (diet coke, splenda, etc.) are actually REALLY bad for you. I found this really great video where she offers up some tips on how to get your metabolism running as efficiently as possible:
Also, here is a bonus video where Jillian walks us thru a 1 Month Slimdown routine, my body is aching just watching this, holy crap! I'm definitely going to incorporate some of these moves into my workout!
The Engine 2 Diet is a really great, plant-based diet book that I recently read that I highly recommend to anybody looking to health-ify their diet! The hottie author Rip Esselstyn appeared on GMA last summer to discuss the basic idea behind the diet and show some really amazing before and after pictures. If you are as intrigued as I was when I saw this, make sure to get the book, which houses some really great recipes! Of course I love the vast "dessert" section which contains such gems as Chocolate Chunk Cookies, yummy!!! But considering my recent cookie overdose I think I'll wait a few before testing out that recipe. For a bunch more recipes and info make sure to check out the Engine 2 Website which has more before and afters, a bunch of introductory recipes and some FAQs for those of you debating on whether or not a vegan lifestyle is appropriate for you.
Alicia Silverstone was recently on Oprah discussing her book, The Kind Diet, which I highly recommend for the wealth of information it provides, and if anything else, the photos within are absolutely gorgeous. It is a really cute interview where she talks about her decision to go vegan, the benefits of a vegan lifestyle and... her poops! You know how Oprah loves a good poop discussion! My favorite part though is Alicia going to Whole Paycheck Foods market and showing us a couple things that she buys. Those crostinis are making me drool they look so good!!
